Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 January 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Strata Report Summariser website and services (the "Service").

The Service is operated under the business name Strata Report Summariser by Rongxing Weng (ABN 98 494 453 021) ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, purchasing a report, redeeming a code, uploading documents, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • "Account" means your user account for accessing the Service.
  • "User", "you", "your" means any person who accesses or uses the Service.
  • "Input" means any documents, files, text, or other materials you upload or submit (including strata reports).
  • "Output" means the summaries, extracts, or other results generated by the Service from your Input.
  • "Report" means an Output packaged in a report format (if applicable).
  • "Fees" means the prices you pay for one-off reports (and any other paid features we may offer from time to time).
  • "Redeem Code" means a promotional code, coupon, credit, or similar offer we may provide from time to time for promotional or evaluation access.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract under Australian law to use the Service.

3. The Service and important limitations

3.1 What the Service does

The Service uses software (including automated analysis) to help summarise information from documents you provide.

3.2 Not professional advice

Outputs are provided for informational purposes only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, especially where documents are missing, unclear, or contain errors.

You must not rely on Outputs as legal, financial, engineering, building, strata management, or purchasing advice. You should obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.

3.3 Your responsibility to review

You are responsible for verifying Outputs against your source documents and making your own decisions.

3.4 Report delivery and turnaround time

We aim to generate and deliver Outputs promptly. Typically, Outputs are generated within approximately 10 minutes. Timeframes depend on document size and system load. However, during peak periods, processing may be delayed due to queuing and system load. Timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

4. Accounts

You may need an Account to use parts of the Service. You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account.

5. Purchases, pricing, and payment

5.1 One-off purchases

The Service is offered on a one-off purchase basis unless we explicitly offer another pricing model on the website.

5.2 Pricing and GST

Prices are shown in AUD and may include GST where stated on the checkout page.

5.3 Payment processing (Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your selected payment method for Fees you approve at checkout.

5.4 Failed payments and chargebacks

If a payment fails, we may suspend delivery of the purchased Output until payment is completed. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your Account while the dispute is resolved.

5.5 Redeem Codes and promotional access

From time to time, we may provide promotional access via redeem codes, coupons, credits, or similar offers ("Redeem Codes").

Unless we state otherwise:

  • Redeem Codes are provided for evaluation/experience purposes only and have no cash value.
  • Redeem Codes are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other offers.
  • We may set conditions such as eligibility, usage limits, and expiry dates, which will be shown at the time the Redeem Code is issued or redeemed.
  • We may cancel, suspend, or refuse to honour a Redeem Code where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
  • We may limit Redeem Codes to one per person, one per Account, or one per device/payment method, and we may require additional verification to prevent misuse.
  • If you use a Redeem Code and do not pay any Fees, you are not entitled to a cash refund in connection with the Redeem Code.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

6. Refunds and the Australian Consumer Law

6.1 Our general refunds position

Except as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), Fees are non-refundable.

Because the Service is a one-off digital service that is typically delivered shortly after purchase, once an Output/Report has been generated and delivered (including where it is made available for download or viewing in your Account), you acknowledge that the service has been supplied and, except as required by law, you are not entitled to a refund if you change your mind or no longer need the Output.

However, if you were charged in error, or you did not receive the purchased Output due to a verified technical issue on our side, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue (which may include re-supplying the service). If we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required by law.

6.2 Consumer guarantees (cannot be excluded)

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you may be entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

You may also be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage as provided by the Australian Consumer Law.

6.3 Remedies and how we handle issues (re-supply first)

If there is an issue with the Service or an Output, you agree to contact us first at support@stratareportsummariser.com.au and provide reasonable details so we can investigate.

Where a remedy is required or appropriate, we will generally seek to re-supply the service first (for example, re-generating the Output, fixing formatting, or addressing a technical delivery issue) within a reasonable time. If we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time, or if the issue amounts to a major failure, we will provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required by law.

7. Uploading documents and your responsibilities

7.1 Rights to upload

You must ensure you have the right to upload and provide any Input you submit, including where the Input contains personal information about you or third parties.

7.2 Prohibited content and conduct

You must not upload or use the Service to process:

  • illegal content;
  • content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • malicious files (e.g., malware) or content intended to disrupt the Service;
  • highly sensitive personal information unless you have a lawful basis and consent where required.

7.3 Security of your Inputs

You should avoid uploading anything you would not want to be disclosed in the event of a security incident. While we take reasonable security steps, no system is completely secure.

7.4 Intended use and scope of Outputs

Outputs are summaries and may not capture every detail, exception, or nuance in your source documents. You should review key points against the original documents, especially for time-sensitive or high-stakes decisions.

8. Data retention (documents)

We retain uploaded documents for 30 days from upload (or from Output delivery, depending on the workflow), unless:

  • you request earlier deletion (see below); or
  • we must retain certain information for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Deletion requests: You may request earlier deletion of uploaded documents by emailing support@stratareportsummariser.com.au. We will action deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal or operational requirements.

9. Intellectual property

9.1 Our IP

We and our licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, interfaces, branding, and any underlying systems.

9.2 Your IP in Inputs

As between you and us, you retain ownership of your Input.

9.3 Your rights in Outputs

Subject to these Terms, you may use Outputs for your personal use or internal business purposes.

9.4 Licence you grant to us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and use your Input solely to:

  • provide the Service to you;
  • maintain and secure the Service (including fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring); and
  • comply with legal obligations.

No model training: We do not use your Input to train machine learning models.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, or underlying systems;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide Outputs as a competing service (except to the extent permitted by law);
  • use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.

We may suspend or terminate access for misuse or suspected misuse.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service from time to time. Where changes materially reduce core functionality you have paid for but not yet received, we will act reasonably to provide an appropriate remedy (e.g., re-supply or refund where required by law).

12. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party services (e.g., payment processing, analytics, storage, email). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

14. Liability

14.1 Non-excludable rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

14.2 Limitation (to the maximum extent permitted by law)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.

Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against losses, claims, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service, including where you upload content you do not have the right to use.

This indemnity does not apply to the extent the loss is caused by our breach of these Terms or our negligence.

16. Suspension and termination

16.1 By you

You may stop using the Service at any time.

16.2 By us

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • you breach these Terms;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse; or
  • required by law or to protect the Service and other users.

Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
